WHAT IS ORMTA?
-
ORMTA is the acronym for the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association
-
It is the official body of independent music instructors in Ontario with branches throughout the province
-
Its members also belong to the the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers' Association. Instruction is available to students of all ages in all levels of music on many instruments as well as voice.
-
ORMTA aims to provide quality private music education at the same time as playing an important role in music and education in the community. The Ottawa Region Branch has been in existence for more than sixty years and has some two hundred members from across eastern Ontario from Van Kleek Hill to Deep River.

IS INSTRUCTION BY AN ORMTA TEACHER MORE EXPENSIVE?
-
Quality instruction provided by ORMTA members is affordable and the rates are competitive. Every teacher sets his/her own rates based on experience, level of education and years of teaching. Points to consider in selecting a teacher include their musical education, level of experience, personality, studio atmosphere and type of program offered.
